A Note from the Artist:
The tiger was one of my very first adventures into digital drawing and it holds a special place in my collection.
I was still discovering what I could achieve with Procreate, experimenting with different brushes, textures and techniques and learning something new with every picture.
Tigers are wonderful subjects to draw. Their striking stripes, beautiful colouring and extraordinary faces make them instantly recognisable but capturing their character is another matter entirely.
What fascinates me about these magnificent animals is the contrast between their incredible power and their quiet beauty.
Sadly, despite their strength, tigers are vulnerable to the changes happening in their natural habitats.
My endangered animals collection is a celebration of these extraordinary creatures and a reminder of just how much we stand to lose if we fail to protect them.
Looking back at this early artwork reminds me how much I’ve learned since I first picked up my digital pencil but it also reminds me of the excitement of discovering that I could create something I had never imagined drawing before.
